Class of 2025

Elijah Brooks is a fiction writer from Seattle. He’s interested in what formal problems can tell us about being human. He enjoys studying languages, eating at diners, and receiving emails. 

Kimberly Fetherston hails from New Jersey but finds her home and inspiration in the many different places she’s lived. She attended the College of the Holy Cross, receiving her degree in English. As a poet, she was awarded the 2022 Elizabeth Bishop Manuscript Prize, the winning poem appearing in The Worcester Review. When not writing, she can be found hiking, climbing, and baking.

Hen Graham grew up in the north Georgia mountains, third oldest in a family of local artists and writers. They are the first to have the privilege to pursue their art at the university level, so they hope to make their family and friends proud, as well as follow a lifelong goal. Hen enjoys exploring family dynamic, gender, social status, and little odds and ends in their writing.

Katherine Humphreys was raised in Houston, Texas where they spent a childhood wading through bayous and writing all manner of disreputable things. They’re currently working on a short story collection.

Mick Manley grew up in Georgia and lived most recently in Montana. She primarily writes fiction. Her work explores the intersection of perceived truth, environmental ethics, mental illness and addiction. When not writing, Mick also enjoys hiking, climbing mountains and a good cup of coffee.  

Charissa Roberson is a young writer and life-long reader from Lake Linganore, Maryland. Her work can be found in several places in print and online, including Running Wild Anthology of Stories Vol. 6Black Fox Literary MagazineRiver and South Review45th Parallel, and Manawaker Studio’s Flash Fiction Podcast. When not dwelling in imaginary worlds, she loves exploring the real one, watching and making films, learning languages, and playing Irish tunes on her fiddle. 

Rifke Vatsaas

Emily Withenbury is most recently from Lexington, Kentucky and grew up in western Illinois. She holds a B.A. from University of Illinois in English literature and speech communication, danced professionally for San Francisco-based ZiRu Dance, and owned a café/bakery in Northampton, Massachusetts. Her poetry explores authenticity in selfhood, the physical body as a map for our emotional landscape, and the beautiful complexities inherent in how and who we love. Em’s favorite color is yellow, and she runs on every flower she sees.
